The Premier of the North West Province, Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi, accompanied by the MEC for Health, Sello Lehari, paid a special Christmas Day visit to Mahikeng Provincial Hospital, where four babies were born on the day.
The Premier congratulated the mothers and praised healthcare workers who remained on duty during Christmas. He also urged parents to ensure their newborns receive all required immunisations in line with their clinic cards, highlighting the importance of vaccinations in protecting children from life-threatening diseases.
The visit reflects the provincial government’s continued commitment to maternal and child healthcare, even during public holidays.
