A devastating accident on the N8 between Bloemfontein and Botshabelo has claimed the lives of ten people. The crash, which involved a bus and a heavy-duty truck, happened on Saturday morning and left scenes of destruction along the busy stretch of road.
Emergency teams and law-enforcement officials rushed to the site, where 41 additional people were found injured. Several of them were taken to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care.
Traffic in the area is heavily backed up as authorities continue their work. Motorists are being urged to slow down, remain alert, and follow the instructions of officials as cleanup and investigations continue.
