The South African entertainment world is mourning the sudden death of actress Londiwe Faith Nene, best known for her role as Aunt Thuli in the popular TV drama Youngins.

Londiwe passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the age of 35. Her family confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement, expressing their deep sorrow and requesting privacy during this difficult time.

“As a family, we are deeply heartbroken by the loss and kindly ask for privacy as we navigate through this time of sorrow,” they said.
Speaking about her sister’s passing, Londiwe’s sister Lethukuthula Nene said the family was still in shock and struggling to understand what happened. She shared that the family believes Londiwe may have ingested poison, though they are waiting for official confirmation from authorities.

“She drank poison. That is what it seems like. But we will get all the details from professionals,” she said, adding that Londiwe had shown no visible signs of distress before her death.
Londiwe was a rising star in South Africa’s entertainment scene. Beyond Youngins, she appeared in hit shows such as Outlaws, Adulting, and Aunties, where she portrayed Rachel Ndlovu under Pula Bakgaga Media.
