Two suspected armed robbers were shot and killed during a police operation in Waterfall, KwaZulu-Natal.

According to police, the men were wanted in connection with a series of cash-in-transit robberies. Officers tracked them to a residential complex, where the suspects allegedly opened fire, prompting police to return fire. Both men were fatally wounded during the exchange.
The incident comes shortly after a similar police operation in Estcourt, where three other suspected cash-in-transit robbers were killed in a shootout.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing to determine whether the two incidents are linked.
