Shock and outrage have gripped the Vhembe District in Limpopo after the body of a young woman, believed to be between 19 and 21 years old, was discovered in the Muledane River near Mvudi Park.
The victim was found on Saturday afternoon, tied down with a bag of stones, with clear signs of violence and mutilation. Authorities confirmed that her body has been taken for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has condemned the killing, calling it a heinous and brutal crime. She has ordered investigators to work relentlessly to bring those responsible to justice.
