Kholofelo Moloto, entrepreneur and partner of musician Shebeshxt, has opened up once more about the heartbreak of losing their daughter, Onthatile Chuene, who died in 2024.
In a TikTok post on 8 September 2025, Moloto admitted that the pain remains raw more than a year later. “When you see me crying, just let me be,” she wrote. “I don’t think heaven needed my daughter more than she needs me.”
Her message resonated deeply, drawing an outpouring of support from South Africans who praised her honesty and courage in speaking publicly about her grief. Many shared words of comfort and commended her for keeping Onthatile’s memory alive.
Moloto has reflected on her loss several times since the tragedy. On the first anniversary of Onthatile’s passing in June 2025, she shared an emotional tribute:
“Eight amazing, wonderful, and precious years with you — and one year without you. I miss you so much, and I can’t find the words to explain. I replay that day in my head over and over, wishing and hoping the outcome would be different.”
Shebeshxt has also spoken about the lasting impact of their daughter’s death, revealing that the family continues to navigate life while carrying an enduring sense of absence. For Moloto, sharing her feelings publicly is a way to honor Onthatile’s memory while reminding others that grief does not follow a timetable
