A luxury car turned into a scene of tragedy on Friday morning when three men were shot dead in Mkhuhlu, Mpumalanga.
The attack happened around 11am near the local hospital. When police arrived, they found a Mercedes-Benz riddled with bullet holes and its three occupants critically wounded. Two of the men were declared dead at the scene, while the third died shortly after being rushed to hospital.
Investigators collected multiple cartridges at the site, pointing to a hail of gunfire. The motive for the killing remains unknown, and no arrests have yet been made.
Authorities have since deployed a dedicated team of investigators to track down those behind the attack. Community members are being urged to come forward with any information that could help bring the killers to justice.
