A three-year-old boy who went missing in Masoyi has been found alive, bringing relief to the local community after an intense search effort. Nkosingiphile Ndwane disappeared on Sunday, 20 July, sparking widespread concern and mobilizing community members in a desperate bid to find him.
He was eventually discovered inside a pit just a few metres from his home. Though alive, he was weak and dehydrated when found and is now receiving medical care.
What has unsettled many is that the same pit had reportedly been searched earlier, and the boy wasn’t there at the time. Some community members now believe that he may have been placed there later, raising further questions about the circumstances of his disappearance. Authorities continue to investigate what happened.
