Luthando Nomandindi, 33
What happened:
He was charged with fraud, forgery, and uttering for allegedly defrauding the NPA of over R1.1 million.
Nomandindi submitted a fake LLB degree certificate and a fraudulent Legal Education and Development (L.E.A.D) attendance report to join the Aspirant Prosecutor Programme in 2020.
He was appointed as an Aspirant Prosecutor in 2021 and later promoted to Public Prosecutor.
He even applied for further promotion as a Regional Court Prosecutor.

Outcome:
Arrested on 22 July 2025, appeared in court the same day, and was released on R5,000 bail.
The case is scheduled for 18 August 2025 for docket disclosure.
