The South African Police Service in Maokeng in the Free State is appealing to members of the public for assistance in locating Moferefere Lazaras Mfono (59) from Gelukwaarts, Maokeng.
Moferefere was last seen on Sunday, 8 June 2025, sitting in front of his house. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a maroon polo-neck jersey and blue jeans with torn knees. He is known to suffer from a mental illness.
Police urge anyone who may have information about Moferefere’s whereabouts to please contact their nearest police station, or get in touch directly with the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Jabulani Kumalo, at 073 900 4892. Alternatively, information can be shared via Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or through the MySAPS App, where tips can be given anonymously.
