Media Statement CAPE TOWN – A 50-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court once charged for the possession of drugs after he was found in possession of 180 mandrax tablets and three bags of tik in Grassy Park on Sunday, 13 April 2025 at about 01:00. The members performed high visibility patrols to quell ongoing gang violence in the policing precinct when they spotted the suspicious man in Ivy Road, Parkwood, Grassy Park which they searched and discovered the consignment of drugs. The members seized the discovery and arrested the suspect who faces a charge of possession of drugs. Ends
