POLOKWANE – Mankweng police are on the lookout for suspects involved in a business robbery at St Benedict School in Molepo Ga Rampheri village in the Mankweng policing area, Capricorn District on Monday 31 March 2025. According to the reports, the victim, a security personnel, was on nightshift duty at the school premises in Ga Rampheri village. After completing a routine patrol, he was on his way to the guardroom when he was abruptly approached by seven unknown suspects. Five of the suspects were armed with firearms. They threatened him and tied his hands with a wire and forced him to the principal’s office. The perpetrators then used a grinder to cut open the safe, stealing cellphones stored inside. They then proceeded to the computer room, where they stole all the computers that were there. The following properties were stolen: 50 × HP computers with black and silver stripes, 1x HP computer, 1 x HP black laptops, 3 x Black Laptops, 40 x Cellphones and undisclosed of amount of cash. After the robbery, the suspects left the complainant tied up on the floor until his colleague discovered him the following day. At this point, no arrests have been made. The police are appealing to the public to come forward with information that can assist with the investigation or to contact the Investigating Officer Sergeant Matome Mangena at 082 3977076, Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
