Media Statement
At 17:00 members received information from a security company of a white Volkswagen Polo alleged to have been utilised in a recent armed robbery around Springs area. The vehicle with matching registration number was found in Welgedaght Road, Brakpan and two suspects, aged 22 and 24, were arrested. A knife suspected to have been used in the robbery was found in the vehicle and one suspect allegedly in possession of a packet of heroin. Investigation continues in the case. The suspects will be appearing in the Springs Magistrate’s Court facing charges of possession of drugs and armed robbery. Ends
