Media Statement BETHLEHEM – Bethlehem police have arrested two suspects aged 23 and 53 from Vogelfontein near Bethlehem following the alleged murder of Thabo Motloung, who was severely assaulted and succumbed to injuries at a local hospital. It is alleged that on Sunday, 16 March 2025, the Bethlehem police attended to a complaint of fighting at Vogelfontein near Bethlehem. Upon their arrival, they found the body of a seriously injured person lying on the ground with a swollen face and head. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to injuries. A case of murder was opened and is being investigated. The two suspects were arrested in the process and charged with murder. They are expected to appear before the Bethlehem Magistrate’s Court on 19 March 2025, facing a charge of murder.
