18 March 2025 – The South African U20 Men’s National Team will report for camp this afternoon to continue preparations for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The tournament will be held in Côte d’Ivoire from 26 April – 18 May and coach Raymond Mdaka said the team will play two friendly matches against Botswana on 22 and 25 March 2025 as part of their preparations.
“We are starting our sessions on the 19th of March. We play two friendly games, one on the 22nd and the other one on the 25th of this month with Botswana,” he said.
“And then we’ll be able to finalize a team that will be preparing for the last camp that will take place some days before we leave South Africa for Ivory Coast.”
The top four nations at next month’s AFCON will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Under-20 World Cup to be held in Chile from 27 September-19 October 2025.
