Media Statement GAUTENG – Robert Emil Reinchardt (47) has appeared before the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 03 March 2025, for Contravention of the Administration of Estates Act, Act 66 of 1965. It is alleged that in 2020 the accused attempted to defraud a deceased person’s estate. The accused enlisted the services of an attorney and obtained a letter of executorship at the Master of the High Court in Pretoria and further submitted a claim of over R500 000. First National Bank (FNB) fraud department instituted an investigation where they discovered that the accused is not related to the deceased to whose estate the accused was attempting to claim from and halted the pay-out. The matter was reported to the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation. A J50 Warrant was authorised and the suspect was arrested on Friday, 28 February 2025 at the Durban Harbour and made his first appearance on 03 March 2025 where he was granted bail of R3000 and the matter has been postponed to 11 March 2025 for appointment of an attorney.
