Media Statement KAGISANONG – Police have made four arrests in connection with a business burglary that occurred on Sunday evening, 16 February 2025, at a business in Caleb Motshabi. Kagisanong police station received a report of a burglary, where an unknown number of suspects broke into an establishment and stole gas bottles, scale and other items from the shop. Following an investigation, the Parkweg Tactical Response Team received information regarding the suspects location. This information led them to a shack in Caleb Motshabi. Upon searching the premises, members discovered an unlicensed firearm with live ammunition hidden in a shack. A 33-year-old male was arrested in connection with the firearm. Further investigation led the team to two additional shacks, also in Caleb Motshabi. The members recovered gas cylinders and other items that were identified as stolen from the gas shop. Three suspects, aged 35, 38, and 44, were arrested for business burglary and possession of suspected stolen property. All four suspects are scheduled to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 21 February 2025. They will face charges related to possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of suspected stolen property, and business burglary.
