NELSPRUIT – Police in Piet Refief are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Rethabile Okuhle Vilakazi (6), from Piet Retief, who has been missing since 28 January 2025. According to the reports, the child went missing on 28 January 2025 at about 14:00, her mother alleged that she went to collect her child to the bus stop after schoo because her child was using a scholar transport, and the child was not found. The information received is that the bus came earlier and the child got off the bus with other learners at that bus stop. The child went on the path to her home, but she did not reach home. Since then, she has not been found. A search is still conducted in the area. On 30 January 2025, her family reported the matter to the police, and a missing person case was opened at Piet Retief SAPS. The police urge anyone with information that could assist in locating Rethabile to contact Warrant Officer Martin Ntshangase at 072 638 1858 or 082 922 9748
