Vala Umgodi team recovers explosives

GAUTENG – The team of Vala Umgodi continue to recover and seized explosives with the aim of curbing illicit mining activities.

Over the weekend the team conducted an operation in Magalisburg and while doing searches, they recovered three metres of detonating cord, four blasting cartridges and three connector capped fuses. The team also seized several illegal mining equipment such as phendukas and generators.

This operation are continuous with the aim of curbing and dismantling illegal mining activities within the province.
