Media Statement WESTERN CAPE – On Monday, 27 January 2025, members of the Anti-Gang Unit conducted an intelligence driven operation in Korfbal Street, Beacon Valley, Mitchell’s Plain where they ensued with a search of the identified premises. They found a 357 revolver with eight rounds of ammunition on the premises. The members subsequently arrested a 28-year-old suspect who was also wanted on an attempted murder case which occurred earlier this month in Mitchell’s Plain. Furthermore, the same members conducted a tracing operation in the Beacon Valley where they arrested a 35-year-old man who was wanted on an attempted murder case in Mitchell’s Plain. The suspects will appear in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrates’ court once they have been charged. Ends
