Media Statement LIMPOPO – Katlego Fatsuma (25) appeared in the Kgapane Magistrate Court for charge of illegal possession of Endangered Species (pangolin) on 07 January 2025. The accused was arrested on 06 January 2025 during an operation conducted by the Musina and Polokwane based Hawks, Serious Organise Crime Investigation Units. It is alleged that the Hawks obtained intelligence about a person who wanted to sell a pangolin at Garasodi village in Bolobedu. The accused was traced and arrested. He appeared in court, and his matter was postponed to 14 January 2025 for profiling purposes. The suspect remained in custody. The Acting Provincial Head of the Hawks in Limpopo Province, Brigadier Sicro Schambriel applauded the team for their swift response. Ends
