Media Statement WESTERN CAPE – The Hawks’ Bellville based Serious Commercial Crime Investigation arrested Unathi Tweni(37) on 03 December 2024 for failure to appear in the Bellville Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on charges of fraud. During March 2022, a warrant of arrest was issued for Tweni for failure to appear in court. On 27 November 2024, information was received on the possible whereabouts of the accused. He was traced to Pollsmoor Prison where he was detained on an unrelated matter. He was requisitioned and placed back on the court roll. The matter was remanded to 12 December 2024 for fingerprints elimination and bail information. The accused is remanded in custody. Ends
