POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has ordered an immediate investigation following the brutal murder of a 75-year-old man. The victim’s body was discovered in the bushes near a river in Relela Village, Bolobedu South, within Tzaneen policing precinct on Sunday morning, 24 November 2024, at approximately 08:00. Police responded to the scene after being alerted by community members. Upon arrival, they found the deceased lying in the bushes with severe head injuries. Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim may have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped at the scene. At this stage, the motive behind this heinous crime remains unclear. The Provincial Commissioner has appealed to community members to come forward with any information that could assist the investigation team in locating the suspects.
