Operation Vala Umgodi operators get drugs off the streets

FREE STATE – Combat and Proactive teams deployed for Operation Vala Umgodi in Free State Province executed intelligence driven operation in Thokoza Location near Welkom.

The members operationalised the information and proceded to the identified address. Upon searching the premise police found dried dagga leaves in large and small zip lock plastic bags, with estimated street value of R15 000.00. Cash believed to be proceeds of drugs sale was also confiscated.

A male suspect (27) was arrested for dealing and possession of drugs.

The suspect will appear in the Welkom Magistrate’s Court soon.
