Media Statement POLOKWANE – The members of the Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Unit have launched a search for suspects, who allegedly bombed an Auto Teller Machine (ATM) at a filling station situated along the R81 in Sebayeng policing area, Capricorn District in the early hours of Monday, 11 November 2024. Reports suggest that police were summoned to the scene, after the heavily armed suspects emerged at the filling station, threatened the security officers and other employees, who were operating inside the shop. The suspects overpowered the security guards and ordered everyone to lay down. They then blasted an ATM and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The police were summoned to the scene and on arrival, the suspects had already fled the scene. Police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist in tracing the suspects to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Junior Mashiane on 076 818 3828 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111, their nearest police station, or use the MySAPS App. Police investigations are underway.
