Media Statement MQANDULI – Police have launched a manhunt for at least two suspects who fatally shot a taxi owner at his homestead in Mqanduli last night. It is alleged that on Thursday, 24 October 2024 at about 19:50, two armed men fired several shots through the window, and hit an elderly taxi owner (70). It is further said that the two suspects then forced their way inside the house and again fired several shots. The victim was declared dead at the scene. Police are appealing to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the investigating team on 071 671 7780.
