Media Statement PARKTOWN – Four suspects were arrested on 19 October 2024 in connection to house robberies and house break-ins in and around Johannesburg. The arrest emanates from an intelligence driven operation that was conducted by Gauteng Highway patrol together with private security companies. The team strategically positioned themselves and the suspects’ vehicle was spotted leaving a residential area in Randburg towards the N1 Highway. The vehicle was cornered and the suspects were arrested after being found in possession of house breaking equipment and the vehicle used was fitted with false registration numbers. Further investigation revealed that the car was stolen as per Edenvale case registered on May 2024 and the suspects were also linked to two more cases of house breaking. All four suspects are expected to appear before Randburg Magistrates’ court on 21 October 2024.
