Media Statement PARKTOWN – Detectives from Tshwane District arrested a man on 14 October 2024 for an armed robbery and attempted murder case. The arrest was as a result of an operationalised intelligence information which led the team to Mabopane Taxi Rank where the suspect was apprehended. The suspect was wanted for an armed robbery and attempted murder case of Loate, whereby a victim was shot and robbed after he came to buy a vehicle advertised though facebook marketplace on August 2024. The Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni has applauded the team for their swift efforts in addressing these online robberies which are rife in Tshwane area and he also thanked the public for working together with the police by reporting tip-offs. The public is once more urged to be vigilant and cautious when utilising online shopping. Ends
