Media Invite PRETORIA – The Minister of Police, Mr Senzo Mchunu, the Deputy Ministers of Police, Ms Polly Boshielo and Mr Cassel Mathale together with the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, General Fannie Masemola will on Friday, 11 October 2024, launch the National Safer Festive Season Operations ahead of the busy festive season period. The launch will take place in Moretele Park in Tshwane. The SAPS safer festive operations will see more boots on the ground through heightened police visibility focusing at preventing and combating crime and at the same time, countering serious and violent crime during this period . The national launch serves as a precursor to the provincial launches to be rolled-out in each province to ensure residents, holiday makers and businesses operating in the country are and feel safe during and beyond the festive season. Members of the media are invited to the launch which will take place as follows:
