Media Statement PARKTOWN – The police have arrested a man for allegedly killing his girlfriend on the early hours of 06 October 2024. It is reported that, the suspect had an altercation with his girlfriend and when his mother and brother tried to intervene, he shot them injuring his brother and after turned the gun on his girlfriend who was declared dead on the scene. He fled the scene and later that day a call was received that the same suspect had shot two of his colleagues and burnt their vehicles. Both victims are alive at a local hospital.
The suspect has since been arrested and the firearm is also seized. He is expected to appear before court on 07 October 2024 on a charge of murder and attempted murder.
