Media Statement BULTFONTEIN – The MEC of Community Safety, Roads and Transport, Honorouble Jabu Mbalula, Acting Free State Provincial Commissioner Major General Solly Lesia, Free State Provincial Management, the local police and family of the deceased bid farewell to Constable Mojalefa Borole at Bultfontein Town Hall on Saturday 5 October 2024. Cst Borole lost his life on the 22 September 2024 while attending to a complaint in Phahameng, near Bultfontein. The Acting Provincial Commissioner Maj Gen Lesia described the member as a well-disciplined member who joined the organisation on the 12 April 2023. He sent deepest condolences to the family on behalf of the National Commissioner General Fannie Masemola and the Free State Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane. The community of Phahameng, his family and the organisation has lost a hard working member who was prepared to serve the community with pride. MEC Jabu Mbalula pleaded with the community to work together with the police in the fight against crime. Honourable Mbalula said: “we are not here to mourn but to celebrate the life of Cst Borole who took an oath to serve the inhabitants of this country.” The MEC concluded by saying that the department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport will continue ensuring that police officers return safely to their home. Cst Mojalefa Borole was laid to his final resting place at the local cemetery in Bultfontein. Ends
