The visit of the MEC for Transport Safety and Liaison and COGHSTA to Upington area

UPINGTON – The MEC for the Department of Transport Safety and Liaison (and COGHSTA), Mr Bentley Vass, and his delegation visited the ZFM District on Saturday, 05 October 2024.

The delegation started at Upington SAPS, where they engaged with the Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Peet Coetzee, who outlined the profile of the station.

MEC Vass addressed the parade comprising of members from Upington SAPS, Public Order Policing, and Rosedale SAPS. He emphasised discipline and diligence in order to ensure that the set goals are achieved.

Operational activities, including the execution of a search warrant, compliance inspections, and high visibility in the CBD, Rosedale, and Paballelo, as well as a visit to the Community Service Centre and cells were conducted.
