Media Statement BLOEMFONTEIN – Members of the Bloemfontein Flying Squad arrested three suspects for stock theft that took place in Petrusburg. The members received information about two vehicles, a Toyota Hilux and Isuzu Bakkie that were allegedly involved in stock theft in the Petrusburg area between 01:00 and 04:00 on Sunday 22 September 2024. Members operationalized the information and proceeded to the home of the Toyota owner. Further information led them to a house where the bakkie was in Phahameng. The police found slaughtered sheep and a sheep that were still alive. Police seized five sheep to the value of R10 000 and confiscated the bakkie allegedly used during the commission of the crime. Three men, aged 34 to 46, were arrested and will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates’ Court on charges of possession of presumably stolen property. Ends
