Media Statement WESTERN CAPE – Detectives attached to the Anti-Gang Unit are hard at work in a bid to unravel the circumstances around the death of a 42-year-old man whose body was found in front of a premises in Ascot Street in Beacon Valley on Thursday 19 September 2024 at about 21:00. Preliminary reports suggest that unknown gunmen opened fire on the victim who was declared deceased by medical personnel who attended to the scene. The motive for this murder is now the subject of an investigation by the South African Police Service. Mitchells Plain police registered a murder case for further investigation.
