Media Statement OUDTSHOORN – Swift response to a violent incident at Oudtshoorn led to the arrest of seven suspects in connection with the death a 19-year-old man. On Saturday, 14 September 2024 at about 23:00, police responded to a scene at Rosevalley, Riemvasmaak in Oudtshoorn. On arrival, they found a man with a stab wound to the chest. He was later declared dead by paramedics on scene. Investigation led to the arrest of the seven men aged between 18 and 28. The suspects remain in police custody and will appear in the Oudtshoorn Magistrates’ court once charged. The motive for the killing is yet to be established and forms part of an ongoing police investigation. Ends
