POLOKWANE – A murder incident involving a 34-year-old male victim that took place on Saturday, 31 August 2024 at about 03:00, is being investigated by the South African Police Service in Dennilton under Sekhukhune District. Police received a complaint about a male victim who was found dead at a local tavern at Mabotse village and rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they were shown a lifeless body of a 34-year-old male who was found inside the toilet. The members of the Emergency Medical Services personnel were also summoned at the scene and declared the victim dead on their arrival. Preliminary investigations indicated that the victim was brutally assaulted by unknown suspects outside the toilet who later put him inside the same toilet with severe wounds on the forehead. The motive of the attack is unknown at this stage but police investigations are ongoing. The deceased’s identity will be released in due course. A manhunt for the suspects has been intensified and anyone with information that can assist with the investigations should contact the Investigating Officer Sergeant Nomsa Skhosana on 067 406 2986 or crime stop number 08600 10111 or nearest police station or MySAPSApp. Police investigations are continuing.
