Media Statement VENTERSBURG – South African Police Service Members from Lejweleputsa District held a roadblock alongside other stakeholders including Free State Provincial Traffic and Department of Home Affairs on the N1 Road, Ventersburg on Friday, 23 August 2024 at 10:00. The Operational Commander, Colonel Mankatsa Magage welcomed and encouraged all the members to continue the fight against crime. Captain Lefu Thamae Station Commander from Ventersburg Police Station gave directives about the operation. During the operation 594 vehicles and 319 persons were searched and a combined number of 14 fines for various traffic related offences were issued. Constable Nkosana Mkhwanazi and Constable Nare Moshoaliba from the Vehicle Crime Investigatiin Unit checked and verified vehicle engines.
The operation was held in commemoration of Women’s month.
