It is reported that in Ritavi policing area, on Friday, 23 August 2024 at around 23h45 in Dan village, a couple and a child were sleeping at their rented place when unknown suspects broke into their room. The suspects were armed with firearm and knife. They threatened the couple and demanded money. The victims were robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and cellphones. Afterward, the suspects fled the scene on foot. In another incident that occurred at Northam policing area, on Friday, 23 August 2024 at around 21:30 in Northam block 05, a group of male suspects robbed of a shop owner the cigarettes, cellphones and an undisclosed amount money. According to the victim, he was operating at his shop when the suspects allegedly entered the shop through the back door that was not opened. They were all in possession of firearms. Suddenly, one of them hit him with the firearm. They immediately jumped over the counter and robbed him. There after, they fled the scene. Police were summoned to both crime scenes and cases of house robbery, and business robbery were registered for further Police investigations.
