POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has instructed Gilead police in Waterburg District to pull all their available resources to search for suspects responsible for the murder and arson incident that occurred on Thursday 08 August 2024 night. According to police report, a 92-year-old female victim was asleep in an eight roomed house when unknown suspects entered the premises at Ga-Choke, Sterkwater village and brutally murdered the elderly woman. The victim was later discovered by the police inside the bathroom tightened with a cloth. Following the brutal attack, the unknown suspects set the house on fire and fled the scene. Post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death. The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe is deeply saddened by the horrific yet senseless incident and appeals to the community members to provide information that can assist in the apprehension of the suspects.
