Media Statement ZASTRON – Operations focussing on drugs and gangs in Zastron yielded positive results with the arrest of four suspects. On 25 July 2024 at about 04:00, Zastron police operationalised information about drug dealing activities at two houses. The team proceeded to the identified houses and on arrival they found drugs including mandrax and crystal meth. Two male suspects, aged 30 and 27, were arrested for dealing in drugs. One suspect, aged 24-year-old, was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon after members found a butcher knife in his possession while on patrol. A 27-year-old suspect who was wanted for robbery was also arrested. The four will appear in the Zastron Magistrate’s Court soon to face their respective charges. Operations continue. Ends
