Tip-off leads to five suspects being arrested for house robbery and dealing in dagga

BOSHOF – The Acting Station Commander of Boshof, Warrant Officer Morne Ebersohn, embarked on an operation to address drugs and robberies in her community.

The operation joined by Ladybrand K9 Unit, Boshof Visible Policing, Detective Services and Community Policing Forum Committee members started at 20:00 on Thursday 25 July 2024 and ended 01:00 on 26 July 2024.

Search warrants were obtained for specific houses and while members were busy searching, dagga weighing 3,105 kg with an undisclosed amount of cash were seized. Four suspects, a female and three males, aged between 26 and 28, were arrested for dealing in dagga.

A fifth suspect, aged 30, was arrested for a house robbery incident that occurred in July 2024 in Boshof. All five suspects will appear in the Boshof Magistrate’s Court on Monday 29 July 2024.
