Media Statement BLOEMFONTEIN – A suspect (31) was arrested for the murder that occured during Monday, 22 April 2024 in 2nd Avenue, Wesdene. The deceased was accompanied by another male, believed to be his friend during the fatal assault, and the friend escaped the attack. The first suspect was arrested on Tuesday, 22 July 2024 at about 21:55, and other arrest(s) are expected soon.
The deceased, who has dreadlocks and was wearing a colourful hoodie with number 10 at the back, black track pants with lime-green sneakers has still not been identified. The police requests the friend who managed to escape the attack to contact Captain David Ramasoala at 082 468 1624 in order to provide the details that will enable the identification of the deceased.
