Vosburg murder accused sentenced to fifteen years direct imprisonment

NORTHERN CAPE – The Carnarvon Regional Court, on Tuesday, 16 July 2024, convicted and sentenced 30-year-old Francios Elrico Williams to fifteen (15) years imprisonment for murder.

The court heard how the 26-year-old victim, Jean Pierre Jood was stabbed in the chest by the accused at a tavern in Vosburg on Saturday, 15 July 2023.

The SAPS Management in Pixley Ka Seme District applauded Detective Warrant Officer Marthinus De Koning for the thorough investigative work that led to the conviction and sentencing.
