Media Statement POLOKWANE – The Police arrested two suspects for attempted murder and possession of stolen vehicle, and five cellphones were also recovered separately during operations conducted on Friday, 12 July 2024. The members of Groblersdal Crime Intelligence together with Task Teams at Nebo and Jane Furse, operationalised information about stolen properties that are at Senotlolo village in Vaalbank under Mpumalanga policing area. The operation led to the recovery of five Redmi cellphones that were stolen by the suspect who is already arrested in connection with the business robbery that was committed in Jane Furse policing area during May 2024. Meanwhile in Dennilton policing area, members of Groblersdal Crime Intelligence Unit, Kwa Mhlanga Crime Intelligence Unit, Dennilton Task Team, Dennilton Detectives and Limpopo Tactical Response Team arrested two suspects, aged 37 and 38, at separate locations for charges of attempted murder and possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle. A 38-year-old was a wanted suspect who was involved in an attempted murder incident occurred in November 2023 at Dennilton policing area. He was arrested on Friday, 12 July 2024 at Moteti. He will be linked with more cases at Mpumulanga province. Whereas, suspect aged 37, was arrested the same day for possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle, at Kgobokwane Kgaphamadi Village. He was allegedly spotted driving in a Suzuki Swift from Marble Hall to Moteti on the R573. Preliminary investigation found that the vehicle was reported stolen on December 2023 at Sinoville in Pretoria policing area. The two suspects will appear before Siyabuswa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 15 July 2024. The police investigations are still ongoing. Ends
