Media Statement POLOKWANE – Bela Bela police in Waterberg District are investigating a case of business robbery that was committed at one of the shops in Bela Mall on Saturday 29 June 2024 at about 05:10. According to a report, the security guards were on duty busy opening the mall to let employees in, a group of five suspects in a white quantum with tinted windows, entered the mall. The security guards allegedly approached the quantum to hear as how to assist as the mall was not yet opened. Four unknown men and a driver got out of the quantum and showed the security personnel their firearms on the waistband. The three security personnel were cornered in the direction of the shop and the suspects forcibly cut the chain and forced doors open to enter the chain store. They then took clothes and undisclosed amount of money. They got inside the minibus (quantum) and drove off. The suspects reportedly spoke Afrikaans. Police were notified, and a case of business robbery was opened.
