Media Statement MPUMALANGA – Two accused, arrested at Lebombo port of entry on Friday, 21 June 2024, transporting illicit goods from Mozambique to the Republic of South Africa, Mpumelelo Life Shabangu (40), driving a Toyota Quantum with counterfeit goods worth (R800 000.00) and John Vuma(34), driving a Volkswagen with counterfeit goods worth (R500 000.00) were remanded in custody by the Komatipoort Magistrate Court on Monday, 24 June 2024. The case was postponed to Tuesday, 02 July 2024 for formal bail application. Both are accused remains in custody. They will be submitted to the Specialised Commercial Crime Court (Specialised Commercial Crime Prosecutors and refer to PCSI-AFU). Ends Click here for initial statement.
