Suspect appear in court for the illegal possession of a firearm and drugs

WESTERN CAPE – Crime prevention operations in the Kleinvlei policing precinct yields positive results on Friday evening, 14 June 2024.

Due to ongoing shooting incidents and gang violence in the Kleinvlei policing precinct, members of the Anti-Gang Unit embarked on crime prevention operations and executed search warrants at identified premises. The members searched a premises in Pinetree Street where they confiscated a 9mm pistol with 49 rounds of ammunition, 40 mandrax tablets, 29 packets of dagga, dagga plants and an undisclosed amount of cash. A 26-year-old suspect was arrested for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition as well as the possession of drugs.

He will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates court on Monday.
