Suspects sought in Welkom murder investigation

WELKOM – Police are looking for information on a murder investigation in Welkom after the body of a man was found with visible stab wounds on his chest in the Indsutrial area of Welkom.

On 6 June 2023 at about 07:40, the body of an unknown African man was found in the field on 11th Street in the industrial area of Welkom. The body was later identified as that of Tankiso Petrus Nhlapo from Odendaalsrus who was last seen by his family on Saturday 3 June 2023 after closing the shop in Odendaalsrus with his mother. A case of murder was registered for further investigation.
