Two suspects arrested for alleged business robbery at Marquard

MARQUARD – The Marquard Detectives swiftly arrested two suspects from Moemaneng near Marquard after the foreign business owner alleged that two suspects robbed him of money while they were busy helping him offload stock from the truck.

It’s alleged that on Saturday, 1 June 2024, at about 20:30, the foreign national was offloading stock at his business premises from his truck. He was assisted by two young men known to him. While he was busy offloading, the two, aged 26 and 24, entered behind the counter, robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash and liquor and fled the scene on foot.

On June 2024 they were traced by detectives, who arrested both suspects and charged them. They are expected to appear before the Marquard Magistrate court on Wednesday, 5 June 2024, facing charge of business robbery.
