Operation Vala Umgodi removes drugs from the streets of Pampierstad

KIMBERLEY – The illicit mining multi-disciplinary team, Operation Vala Umgodi searched identified houses allegedly involved in drug related activities in Pampierstad on Friday 31 May 2024.

During the execution of searches, police apprehended (3) male suspects between the ages of 30 and 52 years old in different locations in Pampierstad for possession of drugs.

Drugs with an estimated street value of R22 560.00 and money believed to be the proceeds of crime were confiscated.

An enquiry was opened in Pampierstad after a blank pistol, ammunition and a magazine was found in the possession of a 50-year-old Bangladesh citizen.

The suspects will appear in Court soon.

The prevention of illicit mining and related crimes will continue relentlessly in the district.
